No, 5ch.io will not be shut down on Monday. It is with a different registrar.
The registrar that suspended .net has done so, either by error or on purpose. Judging from the press release, I believe it was political. I have looked through all of the screenshot examples they used for their decision. The only images are the cartoon women who are advertising the Fanta Games.
Those are not illegal advertisements. So this is likely political. Although it might have been a setup. The phishing site that was put online the day before the takedown is suspiciously timed with this event. I am not pointing fingers, but I think that might be the problem. Either that, or there is some government pushing on that registrar.
You are aware that 5ch is about the only place on the Japanese internet scene that does not collect people’s personal information. So many people want to end privacy on the internet. I have been protecting your privacy since the 1990s. I do need some help from people.
Do you remember the McDonald’s and the cheeseburger event? That is the kind of support that we need with emails and phone calls to this registrar. Epik.com
